I also have had no spam whatsoever from Goodrec. I have had it for a week and it is a solid program. Few bugs, (the street number was deleted when I tried to add a certain address), but Jenny assured me that they are working on the problem. The program that it is now offers a glimpse of a possible stellar program. Keep up the goodrec.

I agree with Jenny – I’ve had Goodrec installed for a while now, and the only email I’ve received is from Goodrec as she describes. No spam has hit my inbox. The folks at Goodrec are on the up-and-up.

Thanks for the review! We’re still building out non-US data and appreciate that places like London might be slim right now – it’s definitely important to us going forward.

@daniel – Spam is certainly not our MO – sorry to hear you felt bombarded. We ask for your email to send you notifications of your friends joining (so you can connect) or when someone’s become a fan of your recs, etc. Easy to unsub at any time. I’d welcome your feedback on what you felt was valuable/not about what you received from us (feedback@goodrec.com).

You are right blackmoose…. I’m very aware of any “FREE” app which starts asking for your email details straight away. Goodrec could infact work perfectly well without having to give them my email. It was also pretty complicated to unsubsribe, had to jump through a few hoops but got there in the end.

App's ok, but I believe the apps are becoming the new gateway for spammers to get your email. Until these apps came along, my email was spam free...rrrrrrrrrggg.

Brian, The link to the "iTunes App Store" near the start of your write-up takes one to the eWallet app instead of the Goodrec app.

Welcome back Brian, missed ya!

Have to say that I got this app, and 2 things dissapointed me greatly. Once I'd registered I started getting emails every couple of days, and the coverage of places in London UK, is very very poor. Needless to say it didn't last very long on my phone.
