No, you can’t use this with an existing case. The holder (take a look at the screenshots) attached directly to the back of the device, so that is a no-go, sorry :-(

The gooseneck is pretty secure from a “touch” perspective. However, I have noticed some excessive jiggling of the device while driving. I have removed and reattached it, and it seems more stable now.
