Cellular versions of iPad 4 and iPad mini launching in China this Friday

Apple has just announced that the Wi-Fi + cellular versions of the iPad mini and iPad 4 will be launching in China this Friday, January 18. According to Apple

In China, iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad will be available through Apple retail stores, the Apple Online Store (www.apple.com) and select Apple Authorized Resellers.

The iPad line is currently available in more than 100 countries, but the Chinese market has become increasingly important for Apple, perhaps second only to the U.S. in short-term potential.
