Sn0wbreeze 2.6.1 brings untethered Jailbreak to Verizon iPhone 4 on iOS 4.2.7
ih8sn0w has just released sn0wbreeze 2.6.1, an untethered Jailbreak for the Verizon iPhone 4 on the latest iOS 4.2.7 firmware.
I originally ordered a Verizon iPhone 4 for my upcoming SHSH blobs dumper. Then I + many others on twitter realized that an untether was not available for 4.2.7. Over the past few weeks, I’ve been sick and didn’t do much, but today I was finally able to get the strength to work on this Verizon untether. Since i0n1c’s payload is not easily reversible, I went to previous exploits. After trying, pod2g’s + posixninja’s kernel exploit for 4.2.x is STILL in 4.2.7! After some more work, I managed to get this thing untethered. So, this new release includes that new payload to untether + jailbreak 4.2.7.
So if you’re a Verizon iPhone 4 user on the latest 4.2.7 firmware, you can now jailbreak untethered thanks to ih8sn0w. If you go ahead and use this, let us know how it works out in the comments! If you need any help, head over to our jailbreak forum!

Finally. Was tethered and ran the package from the source Cydia.pushfix.info and boom untethered. Gotta love ih8sn0w!!
I really feel they can't jailbreak the ipad2
You also have to be on a PC, not MAC! You should include that in the post.
U can use redsnow on a mac then download the rest through Curia and your done!

Seriously I check here everyday for news on a ipad2 jailbreak and get disappointed.
I'd bet if you buy an Ipad2 for all the Jailbreak developers you'd get your wish real soon!
It only takes one...not even one as it can be dont remotely.
I downloaded everything, snowbreeze installed the new firmware, put in dfu mode, did Shift Restore in itunes, loaded the new snowbreeze firmware, it tries to restore it but then i get this error message "The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1600)." Now my iphone is stuck in DFU mode. what should i do?
Used this latest sn0wbreeze with 4.2.7, and used general settings when asked. Restored via itunes; at end, phone rebooted, got error in itunes. I unplugged phone, then plugged back in, and voila, no more error, and phone works perfect.
In fact, this sn0wbreeze jailbreaked firmware seems much more responsive and faster than the greenpois0n was on 4.2.6.

I couldnt do this itunes ask me to restore so I did the snowbreeze 2 times and do the same again so what to do now any idea

I have installed SnOwbreeze and downloaded file. I unzipped it but when I go to look for it in SnOwbreeze it finds it but keeps opening to nothing. What am I doing wrong with the file??
iH8Sn0w has just released Sn0wbreeze 2.7.3 to fix PacMan issues. Even though its not a major release which fixes various bugs what it does fix is the PacMan issue.
