Wouldn't it be great if we could turn iTunes movie rentals into purchases?

I rent a lot of movies on the Apple TV. It's quick, it's easy, and new titles are available immediately upon release — if not sooner sometimes. Usually that's fine. iTunes Match hits Scandinavia, iTunes in the Cloud expanded in Bulgaria and Portugal

Apple's music library matching service, iTunes Match, has expanded its reach with the news it is now supported in the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. iTunes in the Cloud now also becomes available in these countries. Elsewhere, it appears that iTunes in the Cloud support has been expanded in Bulgaria and Portugal to now include movies.

The case of the missing icon: Some people unable to access TV Shows on Apple TV

Nasty surprise today for some Apple TV users who powered up only to discover the TV Shows icon was missing from the interface. Yes, literally missing. Gone. Stolen. Since Apple has the ability to dynamically add or remove icons from the Apple TV interface - like iTunes Festival or Apple Events - this is likely a bug in their system. Hopefully Apple is aware of the issue and looking into it, and TV Shows will reappear as suddenly as it disappeared.

Apple pushes out iTunes update to address iTunes in the Cloud issues

Apple has pushed out an update to iTunes for Mac and Windows that addresses issues users may have been having with iTunes in the Cloud. The bump to version 11.0.5 corrects an issue where iTunes in the Cloud would download or play unexpected items, and while it's not something we've seen ourselves, we're never going to turn away important fixes such as this.

Apple adds "Download Later" option to iTunes in the Cloud

Apple has added a new option for iTunes in the Cloud users, allowing them to defer large downloads of movies, TV shows, and music box sets for a later time. Currently, this new option does not work for apps, and is available only in places where iTunes in the Cloud is live. This option is available on iOS 6 and in iTunes 11.

Apple launches iTunes in the Cloud for movies in eleven European countries

Apple has launched movies through iTunes in the Cloud in eleven European countries. Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden now have access to the service, according to confirmation provided by Apple to The Next Web, allowing them to stream and re-download movies through iTunes.
