  • So glad that SImCity has grown into such a big man in the year 2015. But, I still want to play SimCity original Mac edition. I used to stay up until 2-3 in the morning playing that. Is it available anywhere?
  • does being in the App Store bypass the Origins platform that you need to launch first on the desktop-installed version of the game? God I hope so...
  • I think only offline mode is available in the Mac Store version, so I'm assuming that no origin is required. Besides, Aspyr is publishing it, not EA directly.
  • while i don't want to spend another $40, getting rid of the Origin process would be worth it!
  • I'm thinking of doing the same thing (buying it just to get rid of origin). I have no use for origin if Mass Effect for Mac isn't available.
  • FAQ for the game confirms no Origins access or any other online access required. I already bought it and can confirm that’s true. Also, I’m running it on a 2011 Mac Mini (discrete graphics) and it’s running surprisingly well. I have the game at 1280 x 800 and all graphics settings at Medium, and runs very smoothly.
  • Got this full version around Christmas on origin for $18 Sent from the iMore App
  • So the newest base model Mac mini won't be able to run it well/at all? Sent from the iMore App
