The Survivor Endurance for MagSafe case for the iPhone 13 series offers a lot of features in a lighter package. The case has three layers of protection, meeting military drop-test standards up to 14 feet. Textured edges give you a better grip on your iPhone, making it less likely you'll drop it in the first place, and antimicrobial defense is built right in.

The case is made with recycled plastic, so you can feel good about your purchase. It does have built-in magnets, making the case MagSafe compatible. Even with all of these features, this great rugged iPhone 13 case is lightweight and doesn't add much bulk to your iPhone.

The Survivor Endurance for MagSafe iPhone case is available for the iPhone 13, 13 Pro, 13 mini, and 13 Pro Max. There are older versions of the Survivor Endurance as well, though they lack MagSafe compatibility. You can find this case at major retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, and Survivor's website. Choose from three colors: Black, Storm Blue, and Plum Purple. The case retails for $49.99 everywhere.

Color is always the first thing I notice about a case, even before taking it out of the box. I got the Plum Purple variation, and it's a gorgeous color. It's closer to a burgundy than a plum or a purple, but I like it. The buttons and the MagSafe circle are a lighter pink. The case's back is translucent, but it maintains its color even with the Sierra Blue of my iPhone 13 Pro showing through.

The back of the case is quite light and thin, but the entire bumper area and the frame around that chunky camera module are raised with three layers of protection. Set your iPhone down camera down, and the camera module will not touch the table. Set it down screen down, and don't worry; a raised lip keeps the screen from contacting the table too.

Made from recycled plastic, this is a case you can feel good about buying

The Sleep/Wake and volume buttons have nice, clicky button covers. A grippy texture along the sides of the case helps keep you from dropping it. The Survivor logo is engraved tastefully along one edge of the case. Generously-sized cutouts allow full functionality of the camera module, mute switch, speakers, and Lightning port.

I appreciate thoughtful touches such as antimicrobial properties and the fact that it's made from recycled plastic. MagSafe compatibility is important to me since I do use MagSafe chargers and other great MagSafe accessories. And this case is guaranteed for life.

I really don't have much to critique about this case. Yes, it is somewhat pricey for a plastic case. And it may not be to everyone's aesthetic taste.

Another protective but fairly light iPhone case I really like is the CASETiFY MagSafe Compatible case. What I like about CASETiFY cases is that you can personalize them any way you like. There are hundreds (or thousands) of design options you can browse, or you can upload your own design. You can get cases with varying levels of protection, both with and without MagSafe compatibility.

You can talk about MagSafe without talking about Apple's own MagSafe case. You can count on Apple to make high-quality, protective, beautifully designed cases. You know it will fit exactly right and only enhance the gorgeous lines of your iPhone.

You should buy this if ...

  • You want heavy-duty protection in a lightweight case
  • You want MagSafe compatibility
  • You want a case made from recycled plastic

You shouldn't buy this if...

  • You don't love this aesthetic
  • You want a wider variety of design options
  • It's out of your budget

The Survivor Endurance for MagSafe iPhone case is great for those who want rugged protection without a lot of added bulk. It's great for anyone who uses a MagSafe charger or other accessories. It's also great for the eco-minded consumer who appreciates using recycled materials. However, if you don't like the look and feel of this plastic case, or it's not in your preferred price range, then keep looking.

There's a lot to love in the protective Survivor Endurance for MagSafe iPhone case. The textured edges give you a better grip and help prevent drops. This triple-layer case has 14 feet of drop protection tested to military standards (MIL-STD-810G) in case you do drop it.

Antimicrobial defense and MagSafe compatibility are built right in. Made from recycled plastic, this is a case you can feel good about buying. A lifetime warranty gives you peace of mind.
