Verizon activated 2 million iPhone 4 handsets in Q3 2011
By Rene Ritchie last updated

Verizon has announced their Q3 2011 results and in the accompanying conference call revealed that they sold 2 million iPhone 4 handsets last quarter. As to iPhone 4S, unlike AT&T, who've already boasted about a million activations, Verizon offered only:
On Oct. 14, the Apple iPhone 4S became available on the Verizon Wireless 3G network.
This quarter should be interesting.

That's 2M unhappy customers. :-) Well, maybe not all of them crave the latest/greatest but I'd be hot if I just bought one and another one came out shortly thereafter.
-
Actually I bought my Verizon iPhone in feb, I sold it on Craigslist for 400 and bought the 4s on Craigslist for 460 . I'm not mad !
-
That's a good look. :)

Fake. 4S on craigslist. Sure. Sounds like you opened a new line for $9.99 extra and kept the iPhone 4S for your main line.

I don't think they can be unhappy, especially since Apple traditionally updates in the June/July time frame, but it was published industry-wide that they were pushing this back until fall. If the 2 million couldn't wait until Fall, that was there choice.
-
Yeah, their choice but I bet some are unhappy. I saw commenters on here saying they couldn't wait but I bet they have a bit of buyers remorse for sure.
-
Yep, exactly.
At least 4 gets iOS 5 so it isn't much more than Siri missing, per se. -
Why would they be unhappy? And why would a sales rep say anything about an up coming device? That doesn't make sense. A sales rep doesn't have te obligation to tell you anything at all. If your niece couldn't wait or any of the 2 million other iPhone 4 users it's there own damn fault. A rep or anyone can't tell you the exact date of a device cause they don't know and they can't speculate cause that's called "violation of code of conduct" and that my friend will give you a one way ticket to unemployment. And trust me the rep was gaining anything on upgrading your dumb niece that just wanted the iPhone cause all of her friends have one. Take a number and move to the back of the line cause no one gives a shit.
