Apple seeds iOS 4.2.6 for Verizon iPhone

Apple has put iOS 4.2.6 for Verizon iPhone (iPhone 3,3) up on their servers in advance of the February 10 launch date. The firmware version shown off at the Verizon iPhone launch event was 4.2.5 so there's been a minor point bump worth of updates since then.
Those hoping the Verizon iPhone would ship with iOS 4.3, anticipating a wide release for iOS 4.3 for the AT&T/GSM iPhone (iPhone 3,1) at the same time, will no doubt be disappointed (and no, there doesn't seem to be a 4.2.6 for the AT&T/GSM iPhone posted at this time.)
So if you're testing out a Verizon iPhone, your update is ready. Everyone else, the wait continues!

Will it have same features like iOS 4.3 for GSM version?
Dobut it. But we will see.
4.3 will come out with the iPad.
I'm guessing 4.3 might sneak out before iPad 2, then iPad 2 announcement will have new beta for whatever features Apple wants to show off (like iPod touch does for x.1) and that will come out in April when iPad 2 ships. If that's too tight, then 4.3 beta x with those features will drop at announcement and ship with iPad 2.
New OS's for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad usually come in July
Those are major updates (2.0, 3.0, 4.0 etc.). The only minor update with a scheduled release is X.1 which is announced with the iPods in September.
One question. How can someone be testing out the Verizon iPhone? Did it come out already?
No, only select developers/testers have it. Ordering starts on Feb 3rd with availability Feb 10th.
Internal quality assurance and networking tests inside Apple and Verizon.
How much you wanna bet that it's not so much bug fixes, but probably anti-jailbreak or security holes being plugged up? Perhaps further preventing unlocking use on Sprint or other CDMA networks?
