iOS 5.1 beta 3

Apple seeds iOS 5.1 beta 3 to developers

Apple has just seeded iOS 5.1 beta 3 to developers. If you're looking to get in the latest iOS beta and have a developers account, you can grab it via over-the-air (OTA) update or download from the developer site now.

The changelog hasn't fully been posted as of yet, so we're left wondering what all has changed but if you happen to spot anything -- by all means drop us a note in the comments and we'll update once we know some more.

Joel says:

The option to disable 3G is now on the 4S

Joel says:

That is on AT&T though, not sure about other carriers

Kev says:

The 3G switch on the 4S alone is worth a pot of gold! Now I can't wait until they finally release it!

SteveG says:

What do you think, does this mean that I should go ahead and get the JB with 5.1 or wait?

tom says:

there is no 5.1 jb lol

TenInchFryingPan says:

There's now an option to turn International CDMA Roaming ON/OFF in the Settings > General > Network > Roaming menu. This is a new addition for iPhone 4S users on Verizon. Not sure about other CDMA carriers.

Nick says:

Wait a second.... How do u keep the phone in airplane mode and have wifi on? ( screenshot above )

Sp1d3rz says:

Put it in airplane mode then turn on wifi. Duhhh

FLskydiver says:

But why exactly would you want to do this? And should it even be possible?

FLskydiver says:

Nevermind. It seems Apple designed it this way.

9thwonder says:

Disable 3G? Hell, can we have a switch that makes Sprint turn ON 3G.

julio says:

clayton says:

thats all i care about for my 4s atm

Johnny says:

Pretty interesting because I'm actually experiencing a slower data speed.
I live in Queens NY and I've averaged between 5-7mbs down and 1-4mbs up.
Just ran several speed tests averaging between 3-4mbs down and 1-2mbs up.
Noticed different wallpapers this time around.
Battery really worked for me on the last beta. Hope this one stays the same.

aLieN911 says:

Please share the new wallpapers? Thanks! :)

Sal says:

How is going the battery so far?

Johnny says:

Battery so far is as good as the last one.
Remember though, beta 2 significantly increased my battery life. I didn't do a clean restore, just updated it from iTunes. This time however I did an ota update and have noticed the same from the battery.
Notification sounds are coming all at once. Like, all playing at the same time a little odd. That's the only bug so far.

Exwindz says:

So people who update from 5 when it does come out to everyone, may have a slight better battery? I thought maybe they brought out turn 3g off because Ive heard from a lot of people when on 2g/Edge in a no 3g area, it drains battery really badly.

Amit says:

so when can we expect this update to come, my battery is getting drained to death since my home/office are in terrible 3g zones.
