This keyboard bug has the iPhone registering inaccurately the key you have tapped, leading to the wrong letter, number, or symbol showing up on screen. I am sure Steve Jobs is telling me that this is the key I really wanted (coughs) but none the less it is a pretty annoying problem.
To find out more about the issue stay with us after the break!

It looks as if there's yet another Phone.app security hole, this time in iOS 4.1 that allows someone to get around a passcode locked iPhone, gain access to the owner's contact list, make calls and send emails to anyone in said contact list. From MacStories:
"To reproduce the bug, make sure to have a passcode lock turned on and lock your device. In the lockscreen, tap on Emergency Call in the lower left corner. Now type a non-existent emergency number, I tried #946494. Start the call, and as soon as the red button appear hit the sleep button. You’ll be brought to the contact list."
PwnageTool 4.1 was recently released and a lot of jailbreakers have been waiting for this one. The main difference between some other methods and PwnageTool is that it preserves your baseband in most cases. Meaning for unlockers, they'll still be able to safely upgrade and keep their unlock. We've covered how to jailbreak iOS 4.1 via limera1n and how to jailbreak iOS 4.1 via greenpois0n, and now we'll look at how PwnageTool 4.1 differs and walk through this process as well.
PwnageTool 4.1 will jailbreak the following devices:
iPhone 4, 3GS, and 3G
iPod Touch 4G and 3G
Apple TV 2nd Generation
As usual, we take no responsibility for what you may or may not do to your phone. If you're okay with that, jump through for a regular and video walkthrough!
Wondering how to Jailbreak your iOS 4.1 iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad? limera1n was updated to support Mac today and after testing, it's a pretty painless process. Pretty much what we've come to expect from Geohot. So here's your TiPb-style walkthrough. You PC users should be able to follow along relatively easily as well since both jailbreaks are pretty much identical in nature. We've also got tutorials on how to jailbreak iOS 4.1 withgreenpois0n as well as how to jailbreak iOS 4.1 with PwnageTool 4.1 as well. So feel free to pick your pois0n, er... ra1n.
But as usual, here's the standard disclaimer first:
If you are at all hesitant about jailbreaking or don't consider yourself an intermediate to advanced user, we recommend you pass this up. TiPb does not accept any responsibility for broken iOS devices (even though we'll be happy to try and help if you run into any problems along the way). If you're alright with all this, click on for a written, as well as a video walkthrough!
EliteProHD is a fully customized Jailbreak theme that skins almost every aspect of iOS 4.1 from the standard apps to the iPhone keypad. It also come with a ton of skinned icons for Cydia apps and auto skins all appstore apps. What's more, because of how iOS 4.1 works, themes can now use Retina Display versions of the UIImages, which designer BarsOverBeats has quickly implemented in his release of EliteProHD.
Included in the package is a stunning weather widget, an animated lockscreen theme, custom sounds, and numerous colored versions for more further customization. For advanced users, Photoshop templates are even included to make your own icons.
iPhone 4 and iPod touch (2010), with iOS 4.1, can now upload HD video directly to YouTube. Previously, under iOS 4.0, iPhone 4 videos would be compressed down to SD when uploaded to YouTube. 4.1 fixes that. Just tap the action button at the bottom right and share HD straight up to YouTube.
The process is as simple as checking the HD option on the YouTube upload screen. Note, however, due to file sizes a Wi-Fi connection is required on iPhone 4. (No 3G HD uploads).
If you've tried it out, let us know how it works for you. For more, check out our complete iOS 4.1 walkthrough.
We start discussing iOS 4.1 and Game Center but Skype and Ustream kill the podcast half way through. To be continued in iPad live #21 this Sunday. Apologies to everyone! (And don't ask about the puppets!)
