What you need to know

  • Glee star Jane Lynch is involved with the new holiday-themed Solitaire Stories update.
  • A new Turbulence story has been added in today's update.

Popular Apple Arcade game Solitaire Stories has a new holiday story to share, this time featuring Emmy Award-winning Glee star Jane Lynch.

The story, which is suitably cheery, continues the theme of the game which uses stories to inject a little more intrigue into Solitaire, the age-old card game. Lynch says that the new story mixes Solitaire "with a little comedic relief" in a statement shared with iMore.

"The past couple years have been pretty crazy. We all need a break, and what better way to do that than to mash up everyone's favorite come-down card game with a little comedic relief? This holiday special in Solitaire Stories by Red Games Co. is just what we all need, and I had a blast working on it! I hope you enjoy it!"

Gamers can look forward to a handful of changes beyond the Lynch story as well, including a new feature that allows people to create and customize their decks with new designs and animations.
