Google releases Ivy, an experimental big number calculator for iPhone and iPad

Google has released a new, experimental app for iPhone and iPad called Ivy. A calculator, Ivy is focused on big number arithmetic. You can enter integers, rational, or floating point values. The app comes with dedicated buttons for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division that sit on top of your keyboard, allowing for quick calculation.

These are Ivy's major features:

  • Arbitrary floating point formatting
  • Exact rational arithmetic
  • Big number logarithm
  • Trigonometric functions

You can find and download Ivy for free from the App Store right now.

  • Google should have used a standard numeric keypad like a phone dialer. I wouldn't use this this based on that alone. Sent from the iMore App
  • That's it, I've had enough. Now Google wants to know what we are adding and subtracting?! They have finally gone too far! Sent from the iMore App
  • Stupidest comment in iMore so far !!! Sent from the iMore App
  • Thank you for pointing that out. I feel appropriately shamed now. Sent from the iMore App
  • Comments with the word "stupidest" in them are more stupid than the comment you replied to. Perhaps they are the most stupid of all comments on iMore.
  • Both are still idiotic but OP wins it for the idiocy. Posted via the iMore App on my iPad Air or iPod Touch 5
  • I just wish they'd release a full on keyboard for iOS.
  • Definitely agree. Google Keyboard is a very good keyboard. Posted via the iMore App on my iPad Air or iPod Touch 5
