We wondered back in 2013 if Halo: Spartan Assault would ever come to iOS, and that answer is now a definitive "yes". In addition to Assault, Spartan Strike has landed at the same time. Both games are top-down shooters in which you take the role of a Spartan soldier fighting the forces of the Covenant.
Each game features 30 missions taking place across a wide variety of environments. In addition to engaging in combat on foot, you'll have access to a number of vehicles like the Warthog and the M808B battle tank to take on enemy forces. Spartan Assault takes place just before the events of Halo 4, while Spartan Strike takes place in a simulation of some of the key events of Halo 2.
The games are available on the App Store separately for $5.99 each, or as a $9.99 bundle. Even if you only download one game at first, you can complete the bundle later without needing to pay full price for the other title.
