What you need to know
- Instagram has introduced a new Sensitive Content Control.
- A new setting lets people decide what kind of content they will see.
Instagram is giving users more control over what kind of content they will see in the Explorer tab thanks to a new Sensitive Content Control option.
Announced today, the feature will allow people to decide whether they will see more, or less, of a specific type of content.
Instagram says people will be able to make changes that limit the amount of sensitive content they'll see when browsing the Explore tab, although those who are under 18 will not have the same upper limit as the rest of us for obvious reasons.
I just checked my own account and don't see the new options yet, so you might not see it either. Instagram appears to be rolling the feature out now though, so be sure to check back later if you're looking to make changes.
Instagram is arguably the best iPhone app for anyone who wants to share, and browse, images online. This change is a welcome one for those who want to be able to take control of what they'll see when browsing, too.
