Radar for Facebook is a new iPhone app that helps you find your Facebook friends near you. The app features a radar view and a map view that will tell you which of your friends are close by, making it easy to meet up in real life. If you're concerned about giving out your exact location but still want to use Radar, you can give a general one in order to continue to connect to other Radar users.
You can set up push notifications to alert you when your friends are nearby, and you can message them directly from the app. You and your friends must have the Friend Radar turned on in order for Radar to find them, it can be turned off at any time. You can also turn on Public Radar, which allows you to be seen by other public users, letting meet new Facebook users nearby. Radar displays users with mutual friends and shared interests. After you've met, you can add them as a Facebook friend from the Histroy section. Both Radar modes can be toggled off and on whenever you want.
Radar can be downloaded for free from the App Store right now.
