Spotify brings podcast timestamped sharing to its iOS app
What you need to know
- Spotify has launched podcast timestamp sharing.
- The company is also bringing Canvas to Snapchat and launching a new sharing menu for its mobile app.
Spotify (opens in new tab) just made podcasts a more social experience.
The company has announced timestamp sharing for podcasts. The new feature will allow you to share a podcast episode with a friend from a particular timestamp. This will make it easy to share a specific part of an episode with friends rather than having to tell them which part of the podcast episode to navigate to.
The company is also bringing its Canvas feature to Snapchat and unveiling a new sharing menu on its mobile app.
It appears that the new features are rolling out immediately. iMore was able to see the new podcast timestamp feature already present in the Spotify app. This is a great feature and one that is currently missing from Apple's own Apple Podcasts app. The podcast wars continue to heat up!
