I am a Malaysian, just started residing in Hong Kong. Lucky for me I have a wife who subcribed to 3 Hutchison HK, and she is their priority customer thus I was able to get it by just altering the monthly plan by additional HKD 200 a month, but it still works up to approx HKD 5138 but with extra air time.

The streets are selling for HKD 8,000 to HKD 10,000, you can practically get it from any shop that you see, try bargaining

Also just like Han mentioned:

an 8GB is about 4680 (body) + 188 (1st month) + mis. which work up to HKD 10,000 for a two year contract from 3 Hutchison HK

You can buy the Iphone in every Apple Store without contract. BUT the price is HKD 10,000.-!!!!! That's total rip off if you compare it to the US
