Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies Unleashed for iPhone
Call of Duty is a huge franchise, and what better way to expand that franchise then to unleash it, World of War style, on the iPhone and iPod touch — and add Zombies. Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies [$9.99 - iTunes link] contains only one map right now, “Nacht der Untoten” (Night of the undead) but allows 4 player multiplay via WiFi and over the internet, or 2 over Bluetooth. There are three control schemes, achievements, leader-boards, and the promise of in-app purchases (map expansions?) later.
So, Call of Duty fans and Zombie fanatics, how’re you liking your first iPhone experience?

Altough the map is called “Nacht der Untoten” it’s so not gonna make it to the German App-Store… . What an irony… .
Game is great, but the control “floating” could be improved, they are a little tight.
Its really rally good fun. I’ve not played the multiplayer yet, but the single player game is in one word, Epic. Its just like it was on the 360, its still intense and creepy.
On a technical note, it also runs incredibly smoothly, and there’s clearly a lot of thought gone into giving it a nice amount of polish. The achievements are a nice touch.
I refuse to pay over 4.99 for an iPhone game.
I think $9.99 is a bit steep for a game that has only 1 map to play on.
you could color me unimpressed, here Apple is talking about games and it pushes mediocre crap out? I’ll stick to the real version on Nazi Zombies on 360 (well, not anymore im on that MW2)
$10 for one map with the possibility of paying more through in app purchases for more maps? Way too steep.

It’ll drop in price soon I’m sure. Even if it’s for a short time. Probably wait for that and to wait for extra maps then I’ll grab it up.
The only games on the iPhone I’m willing to pay that much for are games that have infinite playability. If I’m going to get bored with it after beating it once or twice, then it’s def not worth it.
So Keith, I take it you will be buying this as it has an infinite number of waves… and therefore satisfies your requirement for infinite playability

I love Nazi Zombies and can’t wait for the other maps to come out, but I think that it is extremely hard to control. Not to mention sometimes the game lags (playing on iPhone 3G, so probably is better if played on 3GS with higher speeds), and instead of being a strategic game like the PS3 or XBOX, its more of a fight till the death, because the controls are too hard to take on multiple zombies at once. I’ve tried all the different kinds of controls and the best one is the dual stick, but they need a separate fire button instead of using the right stick as a fire button. Overall I think that the game is good, but the controls need a little vamping. Of course, there’s only so much u can do for lack of physical buttons on the iphone

I thought this was gona be another stupid app but i was wrong this is a great gamr to play on the ipod i recimend people to get this app.
yeah I love the xbox 360 version of this so I immediately got it for my itouch. I found it exciting and downright awesome that they kept the original layout of the building true to the original. Game play is pristine–except for the controls. If anyone has played Modern Combat: Sandstorm for iPhone/iTouch, or even Resident Evil 4, then you know that those two games have far better control schemes and I really hope the developers of COD: Zombies understand that and make some changes because I feel that the d-pad you use to move around with isn’t quite as responsive as it should be. When you need to run from a freakin zombie, you want the controls to work.
A great place to get your iphone jailbroken is the new blackra1n jailbreak. Go to http://www.blackweather.com and it will ask if you have a mac or windows pc, click the one you have and it will open this screen and click “click to rain” and it will jailbreak it itself and you dont lose any of your stuff and you dont have to reset it, i did mine and its awesome, it gave me the option to download rock or cydia or both so i did both. I have all of my music, contacts, notes, apps, ect. I didnt lose anything!

Jailbreak is pretty much hacking your iphone/ipod touch and enabling it to download files straight into your iphone/ipod touch.. Then after everything is done, install APPULOUS, its like APP STORE, except u pay $0.00 for any application u want..

Great game for $9.99 kinda exapensive but worth it aslong as you can play online. The game would be a lot better if there was a chat room so you can meet ppl to play with and plan sum stratagies or something. Still it’s worth the money I play it every day when I have the chance.
Taylor: no you don’t need a connection to play by your self you only need it to play with other people. I got up to level 11 on my own and 26 with one other person so it’s kinda better to play with more people. Still fun on your own thoe

the new map (asylum) came out today… wen i click “purchase” it loads and then just disappears and nothing happens. im wondering, yes my ipod is jailbroken and i have the game and yes i got it for free but do i still have to pay for the new map?

OK. I had bought the other map in game ( vuzach or some thing like that) and I had to reset my iPod cuz it got frozen. Once i got it back and going I tryed playing zombies. I went to single and found that the new map was gone! What do I do? Do i have to buy it again?
The third map is going to come out on July 7th (shi no numa) and on November 30th (der reise)

One of my favorite games on iphone. I’ve seen a lot of custom maps for the computer version, but are there any custom maps for th iphone/ipod touch version. It is seriously needed.
