How to customize the Today view on Notification Center for iPhone and iPad

How to customize the Today screen in iOS 7 Notification Center

Notification Center, Apple's easy to pull down repository for all your alerts, includes a Today view that gives you day and date, next appointment, next destination, calendar list, reminders, stocks, an tomorrow's highlight all at a quick glance. But what if you just don't care about weather or stocks? What if calendar's on the Today view just aren't your thing? Well, you can customize Notification Center's Today view to show you only those things that matter to you!

How to personalize the Today section of Notification Center on iPhone and iPad

  1. Launch Settings from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Now tap on Notification Center.
  3. Under Today View you can turn items Off that you don't want to appear at all.
    • Today Summary shows you your next appointment.
    • Next Destination shows you anywhere you typically go around the current time and how long it will likely take to get you there.
    • Calendar Day View shows you a list of the day's events.
    • Reminders shows you a list of the day's tasks.
    • Stocks shows you recent values for your securities.
    • Tomorrow shows you high level summary of what's next.
  4. If you want to rearrange items, just tap the Edit button in the upper right hand corner and then drag the moveable items around where you want them.

Since you can easily toggle the individual sections on or off you can play around and test different configurations and figure out what works best for you!

This was excellent but I was looking for how to turn on whether in my notification center. Can you help with that?
The fourth edition of IOS 7.1 beta has been released for developers registered with Apple. source :
Calendar at notification center don't show all day events!!!!!!!!!! I miss the list of tasks of the old notification center. And the weather info with the drawing was cool.

jkeitz says:

After you turn on weather in notification center settings, you have to use the stock weather app just once (and allow it to know your location). Then weather will begin to show up in your notification center.

shinuyuki says:

Ally! Any idea of any Jailbreaks that will bring back the old weather widget from iOS 6?

WPSteve says:

I always disable stocks. I do miss the old weather widget too, and wish we had more options than just the calendar.

I only disable stocks too, but I miss the current weather conditions from iOS6. Now it only tells you the high and the upcoming weather. It would be nice if it would add a "it is currently..."

Wow, that customization is awesome ._.

I honestly miss the quick Facebook/Twitter buttons. I hope at some point they bring them back (and add the iMessage one, like in Mavericks).
