Google has officially announced a native Gmail app for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. Yes, you read that right. No, this isn't a dream. You finally -- finally -- have native Gmail, stars, labels, attachments, and all, on iOS.

Have a ton of unreal messages and wondering how to just declare email bankruptcy and mark them all as read? iOS 5 still doesn't give you that magical "mark all" button but it does let you mark multiple messages as read in the Mail app, which can help save a lot of time when you're crunching through emails on-the-go.

Wondering how to save video attachments you get in Email to your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad camera roll? In previous versions of iOS, while you could easily tap-and-hold to save pictures in Mail, Safari, Messages and other built-in-apps, trying to do the same with movies -- movies mailed or messaged from other iPhones and iPads! -- did nothing. (Except frustrate me. Seriously. I almost dented my iPhone trying!)

iOS 5 changes that. Now, just like with pictures, all you have to do to save a video is:

1. Open the email, messages, etc. that you received the movie in
2. Tap on the icon or preview and hold on it
3. When the Save Video button pops up, Tap it!

That's it. The video will now be saved to your Camera Roll for you to use as you so wish.

Tired of typing out long words, names, and sentences and wondering how to create text shortcuts? Lucky you! One of the new features of iOS 5 is the ability to do just that. For example, instead of typing out "On my way!", you just type "omw" and the iPhone automatically changes the acronym to the full phrase. This phrase is actually the only shortcut that comes setup with iOS 5. To find out how to add your own, follow along!

iOS 5 adds lots of big new features, but also many more small tweaks like the ability to mark email messages as flagged or unread.

When reading an email, the word Mark appears in small blue text to the right of the date and time. Tap on it and options come up to flag a message or mark it as unread. Flag literally puts a tiny red flag icon on the message to help you find it later. Mark as Unread puts the little blue dot back so you can easily find and re-read it again.

A new phishing email is arriving in email inboxes targeted at Apple MobileMe users. The email is supposed to be from Apple and is asking users to upgrade their MobileMe accounts to iCloud. The email has been based on an earlier email that Apple sent to MobileMe users after the WWDC iCloud introduction.

Double At is a new jailbreak tweak that is dead simple but extremely useful. If you're tired of entering your e-mail address for everything and you're jailbroken, you may want to give Double At a try.

You can define your e-mail address within Double At and when you need to enter it into a form, double tap the "@" symbol on your keyboard and it automagically inserts your e-mail address into the field.

It's simple but definitely helps if you're the type of person that either constantly has to fill in forms with your e-mail or send your e-mail address to people via Twitter, e-mail, or whatever means you find necessary. Hit the link below to check it out!
