Rogers Canada Website Leaks 8GB iPhone 3GS?

235220-rogers_iphone_comparison_500

Once again Canada's Rogers looks to be the source of a leak surrounding an upcoming 8GB iPhone 3GS, which -- if true -- would bring Apple's latest hardware down to the budget smartphone price point of $99.

MacRumors caught the story, though their take is that the price point is uncertain, and whether or not Apple will release the low-storage iPhone 3GS option in all geographies (i.e. in the US) is unknown.

True leak or cascading data error? We'll find out soon enough.

I would have liked for this option to be available for ATT. I could have saved $100 on my wife's phone who does not use music or apps and put the $100 towards mine and got the 32GB instead of the 16GB... which is full already. I am very happy with the phone but options are great.
I do not see this dramatically increasing the amount of iPhone users. Do you?
If you can justify $30/month data plan (ATT), you can spare the $100 for additional twice the storage.

Given the right price point I can see it catching those who didn't wanna fork over the big bucks. Be great provided it's true...which at this seems to be the case for sure.

I have a 16gig phone with 11 gig free. Had I known the amount of stuff you can cram into 8gig, I would have gone for an 8gig.
So I CAN see an 8Gig being a good deal, depending on the price point.
It might be that Apple is trying to be ready to compete with the Christmas rush of new Android devices.
Even Motorola is getting into that act: http://www.androidcentral.com/ and http://tinyurl.com/l6rdvr
And Moto is not the only one. HTC and Samsung have sub $100 phones out there. Take a gander at sister site http://www.androidcentral.com/
I think Apple is starting to worry about Android (and Palm) just a little bit and offering up these low-end phones in spite of the fact they have always claimed they would never bottom-fish the market. Clearly that is no longer true.

Spoken like a single guy.
Try that with a family of 4.

Looks like they changed it, there' s no tick mark for 8gb iphone 3gs. Simply correcting an error, or a request from apple? Who knows...

Im in canada, the prices are much cheaper here. I have the iPhone 8gb and i have 500 pics on there and 1000 songs plus apps. So i thinks u should order from here. I paid $200 for the phone and 25$ for the data plan...

I would bet that iPad 3 will look identical to iPad 2 on the outside, same thickness, same everything, the only visible difference will be the screen. All internal changes. Ships with iOS 5.1 which is identical to 5.0 from what I have seen.
