Official Google Voice app coming soon, already approved by Apple?

Apple has already approved the official Google Voice App for the iPhone, according to a post over at TechCrunch:

We’ve gotten word that the official Google Voice application is on its way to the iPhone in the next few weeks. In fact, we’ve heard from a source close to Google that it’s already been approved — Google just needs to revamp the application to work with the iPhone 4 and iOS’s multitasking capabilities. If you’re a Google Voice user and you’re on an iPhone, this is great news.

Apple stealing ad revenue from Google and Microsoft

With the Launch of iAd by Apple many companies are choosing to advertise with them instead of Google or Microsoft. Businessweek.com reported that Apple may control as much as 21% of the market by the end of the year. Google will drop to 21% from last year’s holding of 27% and Microsoft, who was only just getting into ads, will drop to just 7% from last year’s 10%.

Regarding Gartner saying Android market share will surpass iPhone

Gartner says global Android market share will surpass iPhone market share by 2011:

Gartner expects manufacturers such as Samsung to launch many new budget Android devices in 2H10 that will drive Android into mass market segments. Other players, such as Sony Ericsson, LG and Motorola, will follow a similar strategy. This trend should help Android become the top OS in North America by the end of 2010.

Android would remain second only to Nokia.

Google likes Apple's clarified iOS advertising policy

Google Vice President of Product Management, Omar Hamoui, has just posted about the changes made this morning to Apple's iOS developer licensing agreement, specifically the section referring to in-app advertising:

Today, Apple updated their iPhone Developer Program License Agreement. Unlike the previous version, these new terms ensure that Apple’s developers have the choice of a variety of advertising solutions (including Google’s and AdMob’s) to earn money and fund their apps. Apple’s new terms will keep in-app advertising on the iPhone open to many different mobile ad competitors and enable advertising solutions that operate across a wide range of platforms.

Is "amateur hour" Apple's new battle cry against Google?

When introducing the new Apple TV, Steve Jobs said their customers didn't want "amateur hour". In the newly published App Store developer guidelines, Apple said their serious developers didn't want to be surrounded by "amateur hour". I may be reading too much into those specific words used in those specific contexts, but it sounds like Apple has a new battle cry against Google.

Apple, AT&T paid Google millions for advertising in June

We've heard Google pays Apple millions to be the default search engine in Safari but now AdAge is reporting Apple (and AT&T) gives Google millions right back for AdWord advertising.
