Kickstarter hacked, no credit cards compromised but your Facebook login has been reset

Kickstarter, the popular crowd-funding service, has has been hacked. No credit cards were compromised but some user data, including encrypted passwords wee accessed, and they've reset Facebook logins as a precaution. Their CEO, Yancey Strickler, posted on the Kickstarter blog:

Apple releases iTunes 11.0.1

Apple has pushed out an update for iTunes that fixes a few bugs. iCloud purchases should now appear in your library even if iTunes Match is turned on, users with large libraries should now enjoy a more responsive experience, the AirPlay button will appear when it should, and there is now an option to display duplicate items in your library as well as other important stability and performance improvements.

Netflix 'Just for Kids' now available on iPad

One of the most requested features for Netflix for iPhone and iPad is the "Just for Kids" section that's available on most other platforms -- and now it's finally here on the iPad! Even better, you don't have to do anything to get it. Netflix pushed a backend update and now you should see a "Just for Kids" button at the top left of the screen next to the Browse button.

Fox Five reports on iPhone 5 lines in New York, then tells viewers it has a laser keyboard and holographic display

I'm sure you have all heard the old saying, "never let facts get in the way of a good story", well Fox News has certainly done just that. During a report by Fox Five which is aired in New York, a reporter was telling the story of how lines were already forming outside of the Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in anticipation of the iPhone 5 launch. Fox Five then inexplicably cut to a video showing an ultra-thin device which was actually a concept done way back in August 2011 and nothing like the iPhone 5 that we all saw announced last week. The report then goes on to explain some of the new features of the iPhone 5 and again they are all amazingly incorrect.

Three month old iPhone reportedly combusts in Finnish man’s back pocket

A three month old iPhone has reportedly combusted in a user’s pocket in Finland. According to the report, the iPhone was safely stored in his pants back pocket when smoke started to appear. The phone was ripped from his pocket and thrown to the ground. The whole incident was caught on a security camera.
