iPhone 5 only a day away, even Best Buy reportedly getting ready...

If these pictures are accurate, and we're being flooded by so many tips this week it's getting harder and hared to parse, it seems like everyone and their biggest big box chain are getting ready for iPhone 5 tomorrow. These come by way of a Mobile Nations source, and, yes, the box clearly says iPhone 5, but who knows if that's an official name or just an in-store place-holder Best Buy is using?

AirPlay direct rumored to be coming to iOS 6, iPhone 5

AirPlay currently requires an existing Wi-Fi network in order to stream media or mirror content from an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or Mac to an Apple TV or speaker system. This makes it more cumbersome for non-technical users, and less convenient for temporary situations like guests or traveling. Something like Wi-Fi direct, which would allow device-to-device connections would be a simpler solution.

Slumping sales of current iPhone touch panel supplier could point to new in-cell panels for iPhone 5

A new analyst report has revealed that Wintek, the current supply chain partner for Apple’s touch panels is experiencing a steep decline in sales. The report states that Wintek has experienced one of its steepest declines on record. The report also states that the decline is certainly not down to poor demand for Apple products but more likely a sign that Apple has changed technology for its panels.

Supposed iPhone 5 metal back hands-on video surfaces, matches previously leaked pictures

A video has surfaced today that claims to show off the iPhone 5 metal back and casing. The casing shown off in the video does appear to exactly match last weeks leaked photographs which showed a raft of changes from the iPhone 4S design.
