Nielsen has wrapped up their latest market research data, and in the three months leading up to February, 43% of U.S. smartphone buyers got an iPhone. By comparison, 48% had bought an Android phone, and 5% picked up a BlackBerry.

Best Buy is currently running an online survey asking for its customers views on a potential Apple HDTV. The survey suggests that the Apple TV could be available as a 42” 1080p LED Flat Panel set that will run iOS applications, stream movies and deliver other entertainment programs from the internet. The cost could be as much as $1499.00.
Many big-name companies are already switching to the iPhone, and though BlackBerry is the biggest competition in the enterprise arena, iOS is doing a great job of cutting Android out of the picture. According to the latest data from Good Technology, the iPhone 4S was just as popular among businesses as it was among consumers in the last quarter, commanding 31% of enterprise activations.
ChangeWave has a new survey out indicating 54 percent of near-term smartphone buyers are planning on picking up the iPhone 4S over competing devices.
The late December survey looked at smart phone demand trends going forward, and finds Apple iPhone demand remains incredibly strong more than two months after the iPhone 4S release. Among respondents planning to buy a new smart phone in the next 90 days, better than one-in-two (54%; down 11-pts) say they'll get an iPhone. Apple has never dominated smart phone planned buying to this extent more than two months after a major new release.
