Home security company ADT is teaming up with LG and Nest to launch new home automation products later this year, including an all-in-one "Smart Security" product from LG, and integration with ADT's Pulse platform with Nest products.
ADT says that its partnership with LG will yield a "Smart Security Product" (pictured above) that acts as an all-in-one hub for video monitoring and controlling smart home devices and peripherals. All of this will be controlled through ADT's Pulse mobile app. The Nest partnership, on the other hand, will see IFTTT support being added for the company's line of smart home products, such as the Nest thermostat, through ADT's Pulse app.
Overall, it looks like ADT is set to position its Pulse app as the one-stop-shop for your home automation needs. The hub device from LG is slated for release sometime this fall, while an update to the Pulse mobile app is due this summer.
