In typical Nintendo fashion, no other details were shared. As of this writing, we don't know who will be available for purchase or at what time the dolls will be available. Nintendo did provide a link you can sign up for email updates to find out when the collection will be available.

This is surprising considering the rollout of the Animal Crossing: New Horizon Sanrio cards was less than stellar, with many fans reporting low stock numbers and a lack of communication. As of this writing, there's has been no mention of a restock by Nintendo.

This isn't the first time Nintendo has announced something on Twitter seemingly out of nowhere. Both Pikmin 3 Deluxe and Paper Mario: The Origami King were also announced on Twitter without much fanfare. It's also not Nintendo's first partnership with Build-A-Bear Workshop, as they've released many Pokémon collections in the past.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to top Nintendo Switch sale charts and is the second best-selling game on the system, second only to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It's also on our list of best games available on the Nintendo Switch.

Animal Crossing: New Horizon just celebrated its one-year anniversary and continues to receive monthly content updates. It's most recent was the return of Bunny Day, Animal Crossing's spin on Easter.
