You can also purchase extra to take with you for emergencies. Just don't get stung multiple times.

Unfortunately, with an untamed landscape at your feet, there are bound to be a few setbacks when you traverse the terrain. If this is your first outing, or you are coming back to enjoy some sweet, sweet DLC, you might want to prepare yourself.
With overgrowth, weeds, and hardly a soul in sight, there are more than a few dangers on the island. Like past games, the leading cause for injury is those pesky bugs: wasps, scorpions, and tarantulas. If you're unlucky enough to encounter one of these dangerous bugs, you can end up with a nasty bump.

If you don't want to keep coming back to the shop every time you get into a battle of the bugs, you can pick some up for the road.
Beware, though; if you get stung more than once, or a scorpion or tarantula bites you, you'll end up back in your home like the previous games. While not the worst thing to happen, it certainly can be a pain if you wanted to cash in on those tarantula bells.
