Apple's leather iPhone 6s and 6s Plus cases now come in (Product) Red

Apple has released a new color for its cases for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, with the leather models now coming in red. These cases join Apple's red silicone cases as part of the (Product) Red campaign, which donates a portion of the proceeds from participating products to fight AIDS.

Apple has been a participant in (Product) Red since its inception almost ten years ago. The company has offered products ranging from cases and covers to (Product) Red iPods in its support efforts.

You can grab Apple's new red leather iPhone 6s case for $45, while the 6s Plus case will run you $49.

  • Is it the same color as the non (Product) case?
  • These cases are weak, not enough protection.
  • Kind of a funny comment considering the iPhone 6s is probably the first phone that doesn't even need a case "for protection." It's not slippery like the old phones, and it's way, way tougher. I've dropped mine lots of times and it still doesn't even have a scratch.
  • They definitely need a case (if you want the phone to stay in a nice condition. A - to protect that protruding camera sensor if you lay it on its back.
B- to protect the screen of you lay it on its front. This is the first time I've ever bought a leather case for any phone. I've got the black one and it's nice and soft in the hand and the velvet type material inside really protects the aluminium on the phone. I had the 6plus before my 6s and the aluminium casing looked like it had been shotblasted all because of dust and lint getting inside a silicone case that was supposed to be protecting it. • I really love Apple's leather iPhone 6/6s cases. However, as an owner of a (Product) Red case, I can say that you should hold off. It gets dirty after only a few weeks, and dirt will NOT come off that red leather case. It looks horrible. On the other hand, I replaced that case with a dark brown Apple branded iPhone 6 leather case, and the same thing does not happen. This case fits my 6s just fine. No dirt, and the same excellent Apple quality.
  • Yes the red case does get "dirty". I like the way it ages better than other cases. Sent from the iMore App
  • ALL of the leather cases patina (versus get dirty), though it is likely a little more visible on the lighter colored cases. Just FYI... Sent from the iMore App
  • Or you could go to best buy and pick up the Reg 6/6 plus product Red leather case... It still fits the 6s/6s plus for $39.95 .. That's what I did
  • Yeah, I was wondering the same thing...I just put the brown one from my 6+ to my 6S+, is there anything different? In fact, I'm pretty sure the cases were labeled 6s/6s+ at the Apple Store or am I misremembering? Sent from the iMore App
