Apple's new 'Free on iTunes' section features music and full-length TV episodes

Apple has created a new section on the iTunes Store called "Free on iTunes" which lists music and full length TV show episodes that users can download for free. The section currently includes 16 singles from the likes of Machine Head, Rogue Wave, Asking Alexandria, Nude Beach and more, as well as select full-length episodes from shows such as 12 Monkeys, Backstrom, The Musketeers and more.

After removing the "Single of the Week" promotion at the start of the year, the "Free on iTunes" section is likely the best way to access free content from the iTunes Store going forward. Head to the link below to see all the content that's currently available.

  • US only... as always.
  • Is it just the new page or actually the content? Can anyone from the US provide a link or name of the exact items so I can check in the UK, thanks.
  • Just switch your country to US download what you need and go back to yours :) Or create another account with US for country :)
  • Not bad. Although it sucks they removed Free single of the week. Hopefully they update the Free on iTunes content frequently ala every week like the Free single of the week. Posted via the iMore App for Android

  • I can't see this section... Where I can find it? Had to use the link in the article to access it.. Update: Found it! :)
  • 1. Open iTunes.
    2. Center Top, click "iTunes Store"
    3. Left Top, click the music symbol
    4. Several items down are a row of banners you can scroll left and right, the leftmost one is "Free on iTunes". This is also linked to in the article, but that doesn't show you how to get there.
  • Typical really!..... Only available in the US!. Why are we always treated like crap from Big US companies, it's like when we have to pay loads more for Apple products compared to the US market! Sent from the iMore App
