Everyone knows Verizon is arguably the best phone carrier in the United States. Placed next to competitors like T-Mobile and AT&T on features like nationwide coverage and customer service, it's hard to beat this service on just about anything — other than price. Notably, Verizon is on the higher-end of the spectrum when it comes to cost, though thankfully, there are always a number of excellent deals available for new and existing customers to help lower the cost of service and any phones or accessories you may buy there. Verizon even regularly offers some of the best iPhone deals.
Verizon consistently offers the best data performance and reliability while expanding its 5G LTE coverage across the country. Unlimited plans start at just $30 per line per month and include access to Verizon's 5G Nationwide network at no additional charge. However, there is a little-known secret if you want the best phone service without paying quite so much.
The affordable phone carrier Visible is actually owned and powered by Verizon. When you're a Visible customer, you have access to the same 4G LTE and 5G networks that Verizon customers use. Unlimited plans are available for as low as $25 per month. This company keeps its operating costs low by going completely digital — there are no physical stores and no paper bills. Everything you need to accomplish for your account can be done on an app or by contacting customer service. It's certainly worth considering, though it doesn't offer the variety in plans that Verizon does.

The iPhone 12 Pro is down to $1,008, or $42 per month, at Visible, and new customers will receive a $200 Mastercard gift card after 2 months of service. The deal applies to the 256GB and 512GB models, too. On top of the $200 back, you also get a Nimble Fast-Charging Bundle thrown in for free.
How is Visible different from Verizon?
Unlike Verizon, Visible has just one plan to choose — Unlimited at $40 per month. Visible lets you save on your service and drop the cost per line by adding a few more lines to your account; you can even refer friends to start their own Visible accounts to snag the discount. But of course, even though Visible wins on price, Verizon offers more plan variety and the ability to run into a Verizon Wireless physical store whenever you're having an issue with your device. Visible has zero stores and lets you manage your account using an app instead. We went through all the ins and outs of the service in our Visible review.

Unlike the early days of the iPhone, there are a variety of models with different features and prices now. Depending on your needs and budget, the right iPhone for you could differ greatly. That being said, following the release of the iPhone SE, the lineup does actually share a lot of features across the board so you might surprise yourself with how little you have to pay for a great experience.
The 2020 iPhone SE is the most affordable iPhone in the current lineup, so if price is your main determining factor then this is the model you should be looking at. It starts at $399 which gets you the 4.7-inch device with 64GB of internal storage and a 12-megapixel camera. For many, this will be plenty of space and a solid camera for day-to-day usage. Anyone upgrading from an iPhone 6, iPhone 7, or iPhone 8 will feel instantly at home on the new device with the same form factor and Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Running the A13 Bionic chip (the same as the iPhone 11 series) the phone is really powerful and should last for many years of software updates. For the budget-conscious, or even most iPhone buyers, the new iPhone SE is a no-brainer.
If you want a larger, edge-to-edge screen and Apple's Face ID security, then the iPhone 12 series (or even the iPhone 11 or iPhone XR that Apple still sells) is for you. The iPhone 12 line starts at $699 and comes in a bunch of gorgeous colors to suit your style. It's got a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display OLED and also adds an ultra-wide camera on the back that can help you get more creative with your photography. It's powered by the same A14 Bionic chip as the 12 Pro and you can even get a smaller version of the same phone in the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini.
For the top specs, you want to check out the premium iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The Pro line features a third rear camera for telephoto shots and LiDAR scanner. It comes in 6.1- and 6.7-inch sizes and features a stainless steel construction. You can also get it with as much as 512GB of internal storage. But these premium features come with premium prices that run from $999 to $1,399.
