Colorful new Apple Watch ads focus on activity, texts, and bands

Apple has released a new set of short ads for the Apple Watch. Each of the seven ads is 15 seconds long, and highlight different capabilities of the watch, such as receiving text messages, activity tracking, and band swapping. Each spot features people using the watch agains colorful backgrounds, much like previous ads, and Nick Jonas even shows up one ad to highlight exercise tracking.

Each ad is a fun look at how you might use the watch, so take a couple of minutes to watch them if you can.

  • What's the app that Jonas is using to compete? Leaderboard??
  • I've looked through the AppStore and can't find that icon anywhere.
  • Given that we know that a new model will drop this fall, I can't see why many folks would buy one now. In fact, I was interested, given the sales we've seen lately, but I asked an Apple employee I know, and he said to wait. I didn't press him for his rationale, since he's very careful about what he can and can't say, but that advice was good enough for me.
  • Looks like the Jonas app is Argus - Calorie Counter & Activity Tracker for Heart Healthy Diet & Living by Azumio Inc.

  • Nice, thanks for looking it up brianminor!
  • No problem it was driving me crazy. Hate how Apple shows apps in ads but gives you no info on which where shown in the ad.
  • Thanks Brian
  • I'm going to sit things out until version 2 is out.
  • Any clue what the weather app was?
  • Looks like Dark Sky.
