Disney Interactive today announced its plans for what's to come in the smash hit Disney Infinity 3.0 game for the rest of 2016. We already know the Marvel Battlegrounds play set is coming later this month, but the Disney Infinity Next broadcast outlined what we'll be seeing after that.
The good news is that your existing Apple TV starter pack will be good for a while longer.
First up, it was announced that there will be at least one new play set for Disney Infinity 3.0 from each of the core brands: Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. The three Star Wars sets so far have covered off prequel times, some of the original trilogy and The Force Awakens, so we're curious as to what's next on that front.
As for what some of the others may be, during the presentation it was teased that forthcoming motion pictures, Finding Dory and Alice Through the Looking Glass could be the focus.
Disney also officially announced a bunch of new figures for Infinity 3.0. These include Ant Man, Black Suit Spiderman, Vision and Black Panther from the Marvel universe, with Baloo joining from the Disney originals catalog. More figures will come throughout the year though these will be announced at a later date.
All of this content will make Disney Infinity 3.0 bigger than any release in the franchise has ever been. If you're curious to see more you can catch a re-run of the broadcast below.
Update: It was confirmed after the broadcast that Marvel Battlegrounds classes as this years play set for that brand, so we should expect to see at least three more.
