How to preorder Dialga & Palkia Edition Switch Lite

We got some unexpected news during today's Pokémon Presents Livestream, a new Pokémon-themed Switch Lite is on the way! It will release Friday, November 5, 2021, two weeks before the release of Pokémon: Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It features a grey and black color scheme with etchings of Gen 4's legendary Pokémon on the back. Palkia and Dialga show up in white and gold hues and honestly just look really cool.

How to preorder Nintendo Switch Lite - Dialga & Palkia Edition

As we've seen with other limited-edition Switch versions and accessories, these special Switch Lite editions will likely get grabbed up really quickly. If you want to buy one, you'll need to jump on a purchase as soon as you can. So far, the new Switch Lite is only available to purchase from Nintendo of Canada, but we'll update as more outlets become available.

Why is this special edition Switch Lite coming out?

This Switch Lite is coming out in the same month as the Gen 4 remakes, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Dialga and Palkia are the legendary Pokémon for those games, so it makes sense they'd be on the back. Nintendo did the same thing when Pokémon: Sword and Shield released, with its Zacian and Zamazenta Switch Lite. That last Pokémon-themed Switch Lite is now incredibly hard to find and its value has gone up significantly since release. I'm sure the same thing will happen with the Dialga and Palkia Switch Lite.
