DC Universe has finally launched, satisfying the needs of DC fans everywhere. Think of it as something like Netflix or Hulu, except for everything related to DC Comics. This means Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Justice League, and the Titans all have their own dedicated platform.
The service kicked off Sept. 15, so if you're a lover of all things DC, then this is a must. But how do you sign up and how much does it cost? Don't worry, we're diving into all of that with you today!

What is DC Universe?
First things first, what is DC Universe? Again, think of it as Netflix but for only DC Comics related stuff.
This is DC's foray into the streaming service game, and they're giving you access to a huge collection of live-action and animated movies, television shows, documentaries, and a comic book collection. To top it all off, there are offers for exclusive toys that you can only get by being a subscriber.
At the moment, you're not going to find recent live-action movies, such as "Wonder Woman" and "The Justice League," or the lineup of shows on The CW. Still, there's a ton of excellent animated movies, and subscribers get the exclusive "Titans" live action series.
Where do you sign up and how much does it cost?
You can sign up directly on their website, or through the iOS or Android apps. The app is also available on various streaming box platforms, such as Roku, Chromecast, Android TV, and Apple TV.
To make a DC Universe account
- Sign up with a valid email and password. Check off if you want to receive offers and emails, and make sure to agree to the terms and conditions. Then click "next."
- Select your plan. You can either pay $7.99 a month or pay annually at a rate of $74.99 a year. Both options contain the same features.
- DC Universe provides a 7-day free trial for both options. If you try it and don't like it, just make sure to cancel your account before the trial is up to prevent getting billed.
If you can't decide which plan to go with, or need more time to think about it, just click "Skip for now" when it asks you what plan. You'll still be able to browse around for free, with useful things like the Character Encyclopedia.
What's so great about DC Universe?
If you're a huge DC fan, or have always wanted to dive into the world of DC Comics, then this is the perfect way to do so. Even without the most recent releases in its repertoire, there's still plenty of interesting and entertaining content to go through in DC Universe.
It's also a great way to catch up on the shows you've missed from before, that have disappeared from other streaming services, such as "Young Justice."
