iHome's new Bluetooth speakers carry portable power for your iPhone

Popular third-party accessory maker iHome has announced the Kineta, a new line of portable Bluetooth speakers that hold portable batteries for charging phones. So if you've taken the K1 Bluetooth speaker or K2 clock radio out with you, and your iPhone 6 needs a jolt, just pop out the K-CELL battery and plug it in.

The iHome Kineta K1 is a portable Bluetooth speaker. It situates the K-CELL portable battery in the middle of the speaker, allowing for easy access when you need to charge your phone. iHome claims that K1 can get more than 13 hours of playback from its own built-in battery. The K1 can also be used for phone calls, and features echo cancellation technology. It retails for $149.99.

The Kineta K2 is a Bluetooth clock radio, and has enough power to charge two devices at once. In addition to streaming music from your phone, you can also select up to six FM radio presets. Like the K1, the K2 features an ejectable K-CELL battery for portable smartphone charging. Additionally, the K2 also features echo cancellation to make taking calls easier. The Kineta K2 retails for $99.

Both Kineta speakers also provide charging for the K-CELL when it is plugged in, and both products are available now from iHome, as well as retailers like Amazon.
