Nintendo's last Indie World broadcast was held back in December 2020 and featured some heavy hitters. Among the highlights from that show was the console release of the mega-hit Among Us, as well as sci-fi visual novel Gnosia, tough as nails platformers Spelunky 1 and 2, and the unique puzzler Grindstone.
Nintendo's relationship with indies has grown immensely over the last few years, and the Nintendo Switch has become the home to many excellent indie games and features huge hits like Hades, Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, and Stardew Valley, just to name a few.
Indie games are a great way to experience new types of gameplay genres or bite-sized experiences that may be simple to learn, but difficult to master, and they'll definitely satisfy your gaming appetite in between big game releases.
One example of such a game was Cozy Grove, we recently got the chance to review Cozy Grove, a unique life-sim with a spooky twist that featured hand-drawn graphics, excellent dialogue, and a charming story. In our review, despite some performance and pacing issues, we said that Cozy Grove "is a charming game with lovely graphics and memorable characters."
