Omnifocus for iPhone updated with background location syncing options and more

Omnifocus, the powerhouse of task management apps, has just released an update to the iPhone app that adds the ability for background location syncing. Context locations have also been updated to retrieve information from Apple instead of Google.

The update to Omnifocus is iPhone only at this time but we'd assume that some of the changes will be pushed to the iPad version soon enough. The iPhone version has also received the ability to email actions, a feature the iPad version already enjoys.

Background location syncing works by adding your most visited locations to your background sync list. You'll then be able to receive notifications for tasks when you arrive or leave certain places.

Context locations that pull in for places have also been switched over to communicate with Apple's map information instead of Google's.

The update also includes some general performance enhancements and bug fixes as well.
