Apple Releases iTunes 8.0.1… Bug Fixes!

Continuing the (very welcome) trend of rapid, bug-fix (including the nasty HD overwrite Dieter wrote about a while back!) and stability themed product updates, Apple has released its first minor bump to iTunes 8 (see our feature overview), the aptly numbered 8.0.1. The list of changes, voluminous by Apple’s standards, include (via Macrumors):
Head on over to Apple Software Update to get the latest — and hopefully greatest version for your iPhone. Then come back here and let us know how it’s working for you, and… er.. whether it breaks anything else…

It seems snappier! I like it!
I hope it doesn’t effect JB iPhone’s.
to the person above. I am sure it will lol
It’s cool Apple did that. It would be equally cool if the iPhone blog became the first site in history not confusing ITS with IT’S. If I, a Hungarian, have been able to learn the difference, surely you guys can, too. So, rather than writing what you have up there, how about a rapid bug fix to the sentence in the form of:
Apple has released its first minor bump to iTunes 8.
It’s much cooler this way, ain’t it?
Enjoy both bug fixes!
@jozso,
Thanks, fixed. It’d be great not to confuse those two!
The quickest spelling bug fix in iPhone history! Thanks!
What’s not mentioned is that it also fixes that annoying BSOD with Vista issue that I occasionally got. It was just in time as well as I was about to go through the whole uninstall/re-download iTunes so thanks, Apple.
No it still doesn’t fix all the BSOD issues with Vista.
Err okay?
I have used old and newer versions of itunes in both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of vista and haven’t had a single problem.
You may want to change your motherboard if the onboard sound is outdated/or just buy a new sound card.
no worries to speanza, you shouldn’t have any problems with JB itouches of iphones in this version of itunes. i’ve JB every firmware version of itouch/iphone on almost every type of itunes and there won’t be any problem wwith this version. i just jailbroke an iphone with this version of itunes this morning, and no problems. but if ever in the future there is a problem with JB products and itunes, the dev team wil fix it.
sory thats “speranza”
