So many people are big on Tweetie, and I liked it myself...until it started locking up my iPhone. I think it may have been a corrupted file of some sort, no way to know for sure, but I was having to do a hard reset just to recover from the crashes. I saw this mentioned on one iPhone app reviews site, but nowhere else. I am guessing it is a small issue, because there is no fuss about it on the web. Anyway, as mentioned, Twitterfon is a fine alternative.

I’m with those above preferring Twitterfon. It really sounds like it has almost all the same functionality as Tweetie (no landscape keyboard ; not as native-like integration with TwitPic, although it’s pretty darn good; no multiple accounts ), and because it’s free, I have to stick with Twitterfon. Can’t beat that. (Most of the time, at least.)

Based on what you’ve written here it seems like Twitterfon has the same functionality (more or less) with the addition of being able to delete your tweets – and it’s free.. Love that app! Much better than Twitteriffic, and Twittelator Pro kept crashing on me like crazy.

I need to try this out. There are times I have to leave twitterific and do stuff on the web. Being able to save time and do it all in one app sounds like a good reason to forgo a latte and buy this

I included what was current on my tweet feed at the time I took the screen-shots. However, I did blur out direct messages and people who have their tweets set as protected, figuring non-public = non-public.

Let’s see if this sets off a twitter-client escalation. How will the next version of Twitterrific respond?
