  • Addresses several stability issues with VoiceOver
  • Addresses a usability issue with VoiceOver and Genius Mixes
  • Addresses issues with converting songs to 128 kbps AAC while syncing
  • Addresses other issues that improve stability and performance
  • Sync with iPad to enjoy your favorite music, movies, TV shows, books and more on the go
  • Organize and sync books you've downloaded from iBooks on iPad or added to your iTunes library
  • Rename, rearrange, or remove Genius Mixes

So if you have not done so already, update and let us know how it goes in the comments below!

  7. Sir Nerdalot says:

Most excellent...it's been over 2 days since the last iTunes update. Well done!

  8. MattWylde says:

I sure hope that this update fixes the issue of breaking the lyrics and artwork for songs when converting them to 128AAC.

  9. Dionte says:

App management could use a little fixing too

  10. Gronar says:

Does this fix the constant wi fi droppage, and forgeterage of router passwordage?

  11. sting7k says:

Bleh updating iTunes on PC is so annoying. Why can't Apple do patches? At least it does seem to run pretty nicely now.

  12. Chippy19977 says:

It still didn't fix the EXTREMELY long backup issue.

  13. Geo Coldz says:

Chip get a faster computer and it'll speed up backups. Or just don't do them at all. Waste of tine for me.

  14. Appchel says:

This is great, but where is the wifi fix for the 1 million ipads sold and the 3G ipads soon to be released????

  15. Brian says:

what wifi issue are you guys having? i havent had any issues with itunes and wifi related problems.

  16. OneOfDaKine says:

Does this update fix iPhone OS 4 beta for PC upload???

  17. Lime says:

Core i7 does some seriously fast backing up of the iPhone.

  18. Macboy15 says:

@brain Same here no issues with wifi at all since I've had it. But I did read that people where have issues. But I thought it had to do with network issues and not ipad issues. What's the issue?

  19. Andrew says:

Doesn't address the syncing issues with Outlook/MobileMe (i.e. all day appointments a day out, other appointments shifted by one or more hours). The slap in the face for people who really make use of their calendars on their iPhones continues...

  20. Liverbird says:

Musclenerd has advised that if you're planning on using the userland spirit jb it is best not to update itunes to 9.1.1

  21. Appchel says:

Wifi is loosing signal after waking up from sleep and spotty signals. They told me at the apple store they were aware of the issues and working on a software fix, as they pinpointed it to the software. I am on my second iPad..... This one still loses the signal but isn't as bad as the first one. Strange though not everyone is having problems, but alot of people are.... Unrelates to iTunes, but I saw update and got excited....

  22. Wongnog says:

Ever since upgrading to iTunes 9.1 backups of my 16gb 3gs take 6 hrs. Is this not a common problem?

  23. Appchel says:

My 3GS doesn't take 6 hrs.... Only 20 minutes..... Although the converting takes forever, but just regular syncing shouldn't take that long

  24. michael0825 says:

I can confirm that this new update is safe for iphone jailbreakers and unlockers.

  25. Chippy19977 says:

The slow backups really aren't because of a slow PC in my case. Before the 2nd to last iTunes update, the backup was really fast (same PC). Now it takes up to 10 minutes just to perform the backup. I was hoping this most recent update would fix that, but it didn't. For now, no backups for me.

  26. Mark says:

My 3GS backup in a PC has been slow since the last update too. This update did nothing to remedy the problem. Apple seems to be in denial about this problem. I'm amazed there has been so little chatter in the forum. I've turned off the backup.

  27. SteveC says:

Yes, my average backup time is about 4 hours. It's really painful! I thought I may have pinpointed the cause: The Facebook app. But after removal, my long backup times remained.

  28. KC says:

    Beeeeeeeeeee-loat-ware.

  29. Doc Muhlbaier says:

Really slow to back up on my PC. I've got an iPhone 3G 32 GB, but only 30 MB of material (no music or videos). I'm becoming convinced that Apple is even more arrogant than Micro$oft.
