Apple to retire Aperture development in favor of Photos

Apple announced a new Photos app for Mac at WWDC, which is set to bump out the existing Aperture editor, according to a recent statement from Apple. iPhoto will also be replaced, but development for Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro will continue.

What's on Georgia's iPhone right now!

If everyone else is sharing what's on their iPhones then you know I want to get in on the fun! The iPhone is the single most important, most critical piece of tech I own. It's what keeps me on time, keeps me connected, and keeps me having fun! Since my Home screen is pretty much default — I'm lazy! — I'm including some of my favorite apps from my second screen as well. And yes, I still don't update applications very often. I don't like change. I don't like learning new interfaces and I don't like that I can't go back to a older version of an app if anything goes wrong. And, hey, this is my iPhone!

SoundCloud for iPhone gets revamped UI, better controls and 'one thumb' interface

SoundCloud has updated their app for iPhone and iPad to version 3.0, refreshing the design of the app on the iPhone. The new design places an emphasis on visual elements and cleanliness. Artwork is given a more prominent place during playback, and the controls have been simplified.

Adobe Lightroom Mobile for iPhone — First look

In April Adobe blessed with us with a dedicated Lightroom application for the iPad which has now been followed up by a companion version for the iPhone. Neither are the first Adobe photo editing products for iOS, but Lightroom is a serious product for serious editing.

With the iPad release, Adobe had designed a pretty full on Lightroom experience designed for the touchscreen experience and none of that has been lost in moving to the smaller screen.
