Starbucks launches its free iTunes download offer in the UK
Starbucks has extended its free iTunes “Pick of the Week” give away into the UK; the offer was previously only offered within the United States. Now, any visitor to Starbucks in the UK can take advantage of totally free Wi-Fi as well as a free download from iTunes.
Brian Waring, vice president of marketing and category for Starbucks UK and Ireland, said: “Digital offers are very important to us and making WiFi freely available across our stores is the foundation for many other plans we have moving forward…Content partnerships are key and we also have an extremely exciting digital programme ahead for 2012.”
To qualify for the free download, all customers have to do is purchase a product in one of Starbucks’s 700 UK stores. They are then given a “Pick of the Week” download card which can be redeemed for the weeks pick. Customers have 60 days to download the pick. The first free download will feature James Morrison’s “My Dreams” track as well as a free iBook “Limitless” by Alan Glynn.

I happen to noticed the pick of the week card whilst waiting for my beverage about three weeks ago and what a good idea. The only issue is they don't hand it to you so it is very easy to miss out on. Just downloaded my free ibook woohooo can't wait to read it
