Apple devices dominate in-flight Wi-Fi usage

Gogo, a provider of in-flight Wi-Fi service, has released some information on device usage during flights, revealing that Apple devices remain the most popular with passengers. Tablets and smartphones now make up 67% of all devices connecting to Gogo.

Quantas Airways to offer in-flight iPads

Quantas Airways Ltd. has announced they will soon be offering up iPads on its Jetstar flights to try and persuade customers to choose them over competing airlines in the Australia and Asian markets. After a successful trial period, customers will receive an iPad on domestic as well as long-haul Jetstar flights. A Jetstar spokesman said:

We're in the final stages of putting in place what would be a broader roll out across the network. We're in ongoing discussion with the manufacturer around a more integrated network proposition."
