iTunes is getting some new Beatles material, up for pre-order now

If you want to listen to the absolute best of The Beatles, iTunes is possibly the best place to go. Pretty soon, the already extensive collection will get even larger with the release of some material in digital form for the very first time. Live at the BBC Volume 1 and Volume 2 will be available to download from mid-November at $19.99 a piece.

Rock out with Pearl Jam's Lightning Bolt this weekend, now streaming in iTunes

The iTunes Store has a habit of getting hot new music titles to stream to its customers ahead of release, and this week is absolutely no exception. Touch ID for the iTunes Store is great, when it's not asking for your password

Prior to the launch of the iPhone 5s, I went on record on the iMore Show with my one desire for the then much rumored fingerprint sensor. If it arrived and didn't allow me to buy apps and content from iTunes by touching my finger to it, then I wasn't that interested. Delight then, that Apple took the stage, announced Touch ID, and that we could use it to buy things. Delight, quickly followed by epic frustration.

Apple refunding Breaking Bad final season passes with iTunes credit

When the final season episodes of Breaking Bad appeared on iTunes with a new season pass, and a new price, there were some customers who felt a little outraged. The final season of the hit AMC show has been split in two parts, and many thought that purchasing a pass for the first part would also entitle them to the final eight episodes airing this year. This wasn't the case, but now, in an email obtained by 9to5Mac Apple is informing customers of a refund:

Apple marks five years of the App Store with ten free apps, special store section

Apple is celebrating five years of the App Store, putting up a special section in the iTunes Store, just like they did earlier this year for the tenth anniversary of the Music Store. "5 Years of the App Store" shows the the ten apps that Apple is giving away for free to mark the occasion.
