Flurry for Twitter for iPhone review

Flurry for Twitter is a new iPhone twitter app in the App Store that is just absolutely stunning in design. It features gorgeous animations, intuitive gestures, great sounds, and more. Flurry for Twitter is by no means "fully featured", and although I'm always one to argue that less is more, Ash Apps may have left out a little too much to justify Flurry's price.

Best Twitter apps to grab now before Twitter closes their doors

Twitter has announced user token limits for 3rd party Twitter apps which means that, one day, they'll no longer be able to accept new users. It won't be today, or tomorrow, or perhaps even for a year or more. But it will happen, and if Twitter changes things again, it could happen sooner rather than later.

So to get in and get your tokens now, and to support the developers who have devoted their time, money, sweat, tears, and blood into making better experiences than Twitter themselves were willing to or were capable of, grab one these apps now. If you want some real fun, grab all of them.

Twitter raises API walls, seems intent on starving out traditional apps

Twitter has announced the upcoming version 1.1 of their API, and provided yet more "direction" to Twitter app developers. First, it's important to remember that the sky isn't falling. The Twitter apps you use today will still be usable tomorrow. The community you enjoy right now will still be with you for the foreseeable future. Yet reading the pronouncements, it's impossible not to realize that Twitter's plans for those apps and that community will change them, soon, and forever.

Slices for Twitter for iPhone review

Slices is a beautiful new iPhone Twitter client and it's unlike any Twitter client you've seen before. It's loaded with features, has a gorgeous look, and is extremely responsive. But its killer feature, and the reason for its name, is its ability to chop up your timeline into mini user-created feeds called Slices.

Tweetbot for Mac is here -- as a free alpha test app!

Tweetbot, our favorite iPhone and iPad Twitter app for power users, has just hit the Mac. But here's the thing -- it's not for sale yet, it's a free alpha version. Alpha is what comes before beta, and way before Mac App Store release. It means there'll be bugs -- and they'd welcome you to report them -- and there won't be Mac App Store specific features like iCloud sync or Mountain Lion notifications. But there will be a lot of what makes Tweetbot the iOS app many of you know and love. Tweetbot's developers have explained all the details on the Tapbots blog.
