Twizzler removes trending bar from Twitter 3.3 [jailbreak]
Twizzler, a new jailbreak tweak, will remove the annoying new trending bar in the new 3.3 version of Twitter for iPhone. The tweak was just recently released for free by @chpwn who has contributed several apps including ProSwitcher and had a hand in several jailbreak tools.
I'm still baffled as to why Twitter did not give us the option to choose whether or not we wanted it in settings. Either way, you'll have to be jailbroken in order for this to work. Simply download the tweak for free from Cydia and it should just work. If you go back into Twitter and the trending bar is still there, close Twitter out of the multitasking tray and relaunch it. It should be gone after you do that.
This reason enough for anyone to jailbreak? (I'm looking at you Chad!) If you guys try it out, let us know how it worked for you! Another point for #TeamJailbreak!

I agree, Leanna. Jail breaking is such a pain in the rear that I didn't bother to jailbreak after restoring my phone recently. The iPhone is so unstable and it takes forever to take advantage of new iOS releases. The only reason I wanted jailbreak was the mobile hotspot. Now, it seems thatAT&T has remedied that (for a price), so I don't see myself jail breaking again.
More to the topic at hand, I don't find the bar to be that distracting. I'd turn it off if given the option, but I'm fine to Stick with the Twitter app until/when that happens.
Haha, you know it's bad when a dev has to make a tweak on the same day as the app update in order to undo something annoying.
The best fix for that uber-annoying new "feature" is to change twitter clients....that'll make it so they fix their dumbness.
And tweetlist ain't bad at all...I may actually stay even if they fix the twitter client.

Yes, this reason along would be enough to make me jailbreak... Not that I'm not a jailbreak nut or anything...

This really shows how great the Dev community is and why jailbreaking is worthwhile. A good app gets messed up at lunch time (Twitter) and is fixed by a developer before the days over. Problem shows up and is resolved same day...for free.
We've got one of the best jailbreak developer communities in the world! I love it!

I think I'm just going to stop using Twitter entirely. Not just their client, but the entire service. I've been a member since 2009, and I still haven't found a good use for it...
I'm jailbroken, but I simply downgraded. (tried the app, before syncing to itunes...so if I did not like it, just delete it, then re-add the prev version stored in itunes)..
But, it is cool to have this, of you sync that crappy version over top of your previous copy on laptp/pc/mac
already upgraded to 4.3.. so cant jailbreak.. however.. i just downgraded the app.. cause it majorly sucked..
