If you remember the classic Disney cartoon, DuckTales, and you happen to live in Canada, then there's a treat awaiting you in the App Store that snuck in unnoticed. DuckTales: Scrooge's Loot is a team-based shooter starring your favorite characters from the show, in which you're trying to help Scrooge McDuck recover his stolen gold.
The infamous Beagle Boys have swindled Scrooge’s fortune! It’s up to you to join the citizens of Duckburg to recover his stolen loot! Team up with your friends, and haul back the most riches to beat the competition in this grandiose, mad gold rush. Get ready for a ton of action-packed fun and appearances from classic Ducktales characters like Scrooge and his quirky pilot, Launchpad!
The gold appears in convenient piles throughout the levels, you pick up as much as you can carry, then take it back to your team's helicopter. If you get 'killed' you drop all your gold and your opponents can pick it up. And did I mention it's set in the world of DuckTales?
With DuckTales Remastered scheduled to hit Steam and console release soon, there's a good chance that Scrooge's Loot has been soft-launched in one market – as with Plants vs Zombies 2 – to make sure it doesn't suck and the online multiplayer aspects are up to scratch. It would be unlike a large developer such as Disney to region restrict a title like this. It's a free-to-play game with a bunch of in-app purchases, and I know I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it, how about you?
