Injustice: Gods Among us adds new characters, a new mode and gear sets

Injustice: God Among Us, the fighting game that pits characters from DC Comics against one another, has received a major update that adds a slew of new characters, gear, and a new game mode. With this update you'll get more comic characters, as well as new ones from DC TV shows and video games.

Leading off the new characters, we have The Flash from the TV series currently airing on The CW. There's also the Reverse Flash from the same show. From Arkham Knight, released for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 earlier this year, you can now play as the Arkham Knight himself, along with Arkham Knight Batman and Harley Quinn. There's also Blackest Night Martian Manhunter, Red Lantern Hal Jordan, and Justice League Wonder Woman.

Injustice now features a new Survivor Mode. You pick a team of heroes and see how long they can last through a series of fights, earning greater rewards as you go. There's virtually no health regeneration between matches, and once you're taken out, you'll loose your rewards, so you'll need to decide when to leave in order to keep what you've earned. Survivor mode allows you to earn Gear Sets, which help you build more power, regenerate health, and stun enemies.

You can download to Injustice: Gods Among Us from the App Store now.
